How To: Cleanse with Honey

How To: Cleanse with Honey

Cleansing your skin is an important step to keeping it clean, clear and blemish-free. There are so many different options out there it can be a little overwhelming when choosing a cleanser that's right for you. Many cleansers will often leave your skin feeling dry as they strip your skin of natural oils and moisture in order to dry out breakouts. This cycle is something we've experienced personally. We've found a much simpler approach to cleansing our skin; cleansing it with honey!

It's good to let your skin breathe and recover a few times a week without the help of anti-acne ingredients. Honey is a soothing way to help your skin heal itself while still cleansing away dirt, bacteria, and makeup at the end of the day.

Raw Organic Honey is full of antioxidants and anti-microbial properties that help to calm and cleanse your skin naturally. Honey also contains anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce redness that comes along with blemishes. You may think 'how can honey clean your skin if it's so sticky?'. Well, just follow our simple steps below to insure you're cleansing the right way.

What You'll Need:

  • Raw Organic Honey
  • Spoon

We typically cleanse with honey while we're in the shower, so if we get a little sticky or honey gets in our hair it's not a big deal. Pour or scoop about 1 teaspoon of honey onto a spoon. Wash your hands, then wet your face with warm water. In gentle circular motions rub the honey all over your face. Be sure to avoid getting it in your eyes. Let honey remain on your face for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water. You'll feel no sticky residue and your skin will feel soft and you'll notice less redness. You can also apply it on your lips to moisturize them.
