Behind the Mask: On A DPR Level with Sabrina Navarro

DPR SKN is skin care that goes deeper. Our philosophy is about helping people to get on a deeper level with their own skin care by integrating wellness and self-love to promote a healthy lifestyle. Through our product and the Journal, we share our advice, skin care and wellness tips, and overall how to be the best you can be. We love to read interviews and get a glimpse of people’s lives. We see that all day long on social media, and read countless celeb interviews, but let’s get to know each other on a DPR level and get inspired to embrace our natural beauty!

For our latest Behind the Mask feature, we chatted with a beautiful travel lover and and current FIDM student, Sabrina Navarro. She’s modeled for Too Faced Cosmetics, shares her travels and favorite spots on her Youtube Channel and Instagram, and she’s all about embracing her natural beauty! Check out how the Clay Mask has kept her skin calm & clear and her words of wisdom. Get to know Sabrina on a DPR [deeper] level...

Tell us a little about yourself... age, where you live, what you’re studying, what you enjoying doing, etc.

I am 21 years old and I am from Menifee, CA (a small town in the Inland Empire). I am currently a fourth-year student at FIDM majoring in business management with a minor in merchandising and marketing. I also have a YouTube channel, "shessabrinaa," where I upload travel vlogs and anything random I want to share. My hobbies include traveling, photography, finding new places to eat/explore, and going out with friends.

What are a few of your favorite steps in your morning routine when you get ready and your evening routine winding down for bed?

Some of the steps I take in my morning routine include waking up and instantly drinking water. I believe this is a great way to get your body going and starting the day fresh. I also like to wash my face first-thing in the morning and then do a simplified version of my skin care routine, which is simply moisturizing. As for my night-time routine, I like to take extra steps and do a mask. I have been currently obsessed with the DPR SKN Clay Mask. It instantly relaxes me because of the soothing smell it has. It is simple to put on, and I just lay in bed and relax while it does its magic.

What are your biggest skin care concerns? How do you overcome them?

My biggest skincare concern is oiliness on my t-zone and getting weird bumps on my forehead that seem to come and go. However, since I started using the DPR SKN Clay Mask, I have instantly seen a difference in my skin. I am less oily and the bumps started to go away the more I used the mask--it’s instant lifesaver!

How do you incorporate the Clay Mask into your skin care routine?

I incorporate the Clay Mask into my skin care routine by using it at least once a week. After I do my basic face cleansing, I go in with the mask and leave it on for about 15 minutes or until it dries. After that, I rinse it with warm water and my skin instantly feels squeaky clean and super soft.

How do you take care of yourself on a deeper level (what do you do to stay active, healthy, and embrace your natural beauty?)

I like to take care of myself by doing things that I enjoy. Such as going outside to watch the sunset and just reflect on life, write in my journal, apply face masks, and drink tea (lots of it!).

Any last words or advice?!

Some words of advice are: do not put too much pressure on yourself. In this day and age, we constantly are comparing ourselves to others who seem to "look better" than us, but that is never the case. Embrace your natural beauty and you will automatically glow!
